Chelsea is hoping to complete a deal for Serbian midfielder Danilo Pantic according to reports coming out of Belgrade.

Already captain of the country’s U-19 side the youngster is being tipped as a star of the future, something which has not gone unnoticed by Europe’s elite.

Serie A champions Juventus have scouted the Partizan midfielder, while Spanish clubs have also expressed an interest.

But, according to Serbian news outlet Vecernje Novosti, Chelsea is in pole position to land Pantic.

The Blues are believed to be in talks with Partizan Belgrade, and are confident that a deal can be done before the transfer window closes.

The talk at Stamford Bridge is that the 18-year-old will be sent on loan to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem for the rest of the season.
