Chelsea has entered into talks with Serie A side Fiorentina over Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado as the Blues prepare for the departure of Mohamed Salah, and possible André Schürrle in the coming days.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho entered the January transfer window saying he did not see the club doing any business as he was happy with the squad he had as they remain fighting for silverware on four fronts.

Interest however has come in for two of the clubs fringe players with AS Roma interested in signing Salah on loan before making the deal permanent with a £12 million fee next summer.

Schürrle meanwhile has attracted the attention of Bundesliga sides Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund.

Should neither player leave Chelsea in January moves for Cuadrado could be put on hold until the summer.
Talks between Chelsea and Fiorentina have centred on the 26-year-olds £26.8 million buyout clause which would have to be met in order for the Italians to sell.

The Colombian remains very much a part of the current team playing in Wednesday’s Coppa Italia tie against Atalanta.

Everything rests on selling at least one player before they can sign Cuadrado, and should it happen expect to see the Colombian at Stamford Bridge in the coming days.
