Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho just cannot help himself when it comes to winding up other managers, and he has done it again by opening up another war of words with Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

The first time the two clashed was when Mourinho was in charge at Real Madrid, and Pellegrini was manager at Malaga with The Portuguese manager telling Pellegrini that “second place is just the first loser.”

Now the Chelsea boss is poking fun at Pellegrini by implying that the Chilean has not got the best out of his star studded team who he says should have been runaway leaders by now.

Mourinho said: “I think in normal conditions Manchester City should be far from the others because of the squad, the maturity, the stability of the players, the potential of the striking force, the experience of the players. There is a difference.

“But the Premier League is being difficult for everybody, also for them. So in this moment, everybody is there. So, I think, good fun. I think good fun.”

Meanwhile Chelsea take on Arsenal Monday night in what will be a six point affair while Manchester City await the arrival of inform Liverpool on Boxing day in what could also be a title contention match.
