Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted he is powerless when it comes to stopping Chelsea want-away goalkeeper Petr Cech from joining London rivals Arsenal , after reports yesterday claimed Cech was 99% confident that he would be playing at the Emirates next season.

Following last night’s 3-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion the Portuguese manager admitted that if Cech wanted to join Arsenal there was nothing he could do about it, however if it was up to him he would not allow the move to take place to Arsenal or any other Premiership rival.

‘If it’s in my hands, he would never go,’ said Mourinho.

‘He would never go to big clubs and fantastic teams, big candidates who want to win the Premier League.

‘I would never let him go, but it’s not in my hands.’

The assumption is that Chelsea has put a £10 million price tag on the 32-year-old.
