West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino appears set once again to miss out on a dream move to Tottenham, opening the door for Chelsea to get their man without having to compete with their London rivals.

Baggies Chairman Jeremy Peace has still not forgiven his counterpart at Spurs Daniel Levy for the way he tried to sign Berahino during the summer, and will do all he can to prevent Levy from signing the England international in the future.

This could explain the reason behind the 22-year-old forward favouring a tweet which suggested he was being kept in a dungeon against his will.

Meanwhile Tony Pulis has not made Berahino an automatic first choice in his team, and would be open to a January move in order to use the money from any sale of Berahino to help strengthen his squad.
