Premier League big hitters Arsenal and Manchester United look set to battle it out for Ajax youngster Abdelhak Nouri, according to the Daily Mirror via the Daily Mail.
The 18-year-old Dutch starlet is already being called the future of the Netherlands national team and has a host of big European clubs following his progress in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The attacking midfielder is of particular interest to former Holland boss Louis van Gaal as he builds a Manchester United team that he hope will play on for many years after his retirement, a legacy for him to enjoy watching during his golden years.
Not to be left out, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has had his chief scout tracking Nouri as well, with the Frenchman always eager to sign future stars on the cheap.
And it’s not just Manchester United and Arsenal who are scouting Nouri with representatives from Tottenham, Southampton, Everton and Paris Saint-Germain spotted at the Amsterdam Arena.
