This could be bad news for Gunners fans after Catalan giants Barcelona put Gunners fan favourite Santi Cazorla on a short list of players who could replace the Qatar bound Xavi at the Nou Camp following reports that say the 35-year-old will join Qatari side Al Sadd in the summer.
According to reports in the Spanish press, Cazorla is just one of the players trainer Luis Enrique is looking to sign along with Paul Pogba (Juventus), Marco Verratti (PSG), Ilkay Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund) and Koke (Atletico Madrid) all making his wish list.
The 30-year-old Cazorla has also been linked with a move to Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, but would fit perfectly into the role Xavi plays at Barcelona with the player himself saying how similar the two are.
Currently Barcelona is banned from the transfer market until next winter, but will try and put in place deals this summer to bring players to the club in January.
