Barcelona,

With Bayern Munich and Chelsea in talks over Blues defender David Luiz, Barcelona has now entered the market for the Brazilian and has offered Chelsea former Arsenal defensive midfielder Alex Song as part of a deal that would see the 27-year-old join up with fellow Brazilians Neymar and Dani Alves at the Nou Camp according to talkSPORT.

Chelsea has told Bayern Munich that they want £30 million for Luiz, but would be open to the idea of taking Bayern Munich’s Croatian striker Mario Mandžukić in part exchange.

On hearing this Barcelona has decided to see if they can temp Chelsea into doing business by offering Song after the Cameroonian has failed to nail down a place in the starting line up since moving from Arsenal in 2011.

Luiz is said to favour Barcelona over Munich, while at the same time Mandžukić is keen on moving to the Premiership.

It is going to be interesting to see how this one plays out, but one thing is for certain, and that is Chelsea hold the winning cards.
