While discussing Barcelona forward Pedro’s imminent move to Manchester United, former Barcelona player and 1994 World Cup leading scorer, Bulgarian international Hristo Stoichkov has warned the 28-year-old Pedro from playing under Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, telling Spanish media outlet Onda Cero: “I would never be under the orders of van Gaal. He’s mediocre. He destroyed Barça and is destroying Man Utd.”
“With what he has done to Valdés he has shown he is a bad person. Hopefully Pedro listens to me and doesn’t leave.”
Despite the Ballon d’Or winners advice a deal appears as though it could be completed as early as this week, even though Manchester United is reluctant, given Pedro’s age to pay the 30€ million that the Catalan giants are asking for the Spanish international.
