Barca ready forAC Milan

After the two sides drew 0-0 in last week’s Champions League first leg match in Italy at the San Siro Barcelona were not allowed to play their style of flowing football, and complained to officials about the state of the pitch.

Tonight they meet on Barca’s turf at the Camp Nou with manager Pep Guardiolas team confident of producing goals.

“We have to think that Milan will score and they are capable enough of scoring at least one goal,” said Guardiola. “We have to generate as much attacking momentum and danger as possible.

“I think we will have possession of the ball but we have to find the way to create chances. I think they could score more than one goal, so we have to find the way to score more.”

Guardiola is also well aware of the damage that can be inflicted by AC Milan’s, and former Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic saying: “We need a ladder to stop a player like Zlatan Ibrahimovic because he’s so tall. If it’s a high ball we know it’s for Ibrahimovic because of his height. We will try therefore to keep him away from the box.”

We are awaiting a late fitness test on preferred midfielder Xavi, and if unfit it will be Cesc Fabregas you will come into the side.
