ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS will make a fresh plea to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to give Gareth Bale a new contract.

Boss AVB is desperate to keep his star player out of Real Madrid’s clutches.

The Spanish giants’ president Florentino Perez turned up the heat by insisting: “Bale was born to play in Madrid.”

And four other clubs, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, are also willing to pay £80million for the double PFA Footballer of the Year.

The Welsh wizard, 23, has three years left on his current Tottenham deal which is worth £120,000-a-week including bonuses.

Bale has told pals he is happy to stay — despite Spurs’ failure to qualify for the Champions League.

But, so far, there have been no talks over a new contract for the in-demand sensation.

So AVB will ask Levy to reward Bale for his stunning season — and send out a clear “hands off” message to any club who wish to sign him.
