Spanish La Liga side Athletic Bilbao are thinking about making a move for Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal and will make a move should Gunners boss Arsene Wenger bring in a replacement according to Marca.
Athletic Bilbao have been watching the 29-year-old former Malaga defender for some time now and are prepared to offer him a three-year deal to move to Northern Spain.
Hopes of this happening however rest on whether or not Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger can secure a new left-back for the Gunners with Wenger wanting to try and sign Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam.
Arsenal are said to be negotiating with the Italian club for the 24-year-old Algerian international but are not willing to meet Napoli’s 12€ million valuation.
