Arsene Wenger’s former right-hand man when it comes to transfers Roland Cheubel is urging the Gunners boss to sign 22-year-old Marseille destroyer Giannelli Imbula.
The France U-21 box-to-box midfielder is similar in style to Patrick Vieira and Claude Makélélé and is known for his tough tackling in Ligue 1.
‘Personally, I see him at Arsenal, I talk with Mathieu Flamini when he wants! He [Imbula] has remarkable technical ease, he knows what to do and he does not lose the ball, if he remains focused,’ Cheubel told Le Phoceen.
‘Arsenal will definitely release poor Abou Diaby and Imbula is the Diaby of tomorrow.’
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is also interested in Imbula, so Arsenal may face some stiff competition if they decide to try and sign him.
