In what the Daily Star is calling an exclusive, they say that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is considering a move to sign Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry, who has been outstanding this season while on loan at Everton.
The 33-year-old will be leaving City this summer on a free transfer and given his current form would be an excellent choice for any club looking for an experienced player to bolster their midfield for a bargain basement price.
His efforts at Everton have not gone unnoticed by manager Roberto Martinez either with the Spaniard keen to sign Barry on a permanent contract as soon as possible.
Wenger knows he must act quickly if he wants to sign Barry, so we will follow how this develops over the coming days.
