Despite claiming the other day that he would not be entering the transfer market until after the World Cup Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger appears to have been making some early moves behind the scenes.

The Daily Mirror this morning is mentioning a rumour we talked about yesterday after Spanish football website Fichajes reported interest from Arsenal regarding French defender Adil Rami, who is currently on loan from Valencia playing in Serie A for AC Milan.

The loan move came about after a bust up with his parent club, and with Milan not interested in making it a permanent move Arsenal are looking to pick him up as a bargain despite the fact Valencia will be looking at getting back the £7 million they paid for him.

The other defender the Gunners are looking at is 21-year-old Toulouse right-back Serge Aurier who according to Italian football website Tuttomercado is very close to joining the Gunners, with Arsene Wenger seeing him as a direct replacement for Bacary Sagna who is out of contract this summer and appears to be leaving after having turned down numerous offers to stay.

Check out right-back Serge Aurier in the video below and see if you think he will make a good replacement for Sagna.
