Juventus has told Arsenal that they are willing to let 28-year-old midfielder Arturo Vidal move to the Emirates for £32 million.

Arsenal were linked heavily with a move last month for the Chilean international, with the press in Chile claiming a deal had been done and that he would be joining his friend Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates next season.

Real Madrid was also said to be interested in the tough tackling midfielder, but have now cooled their interest as they look for other options.

Here at Soccer Transfer we feel £32 million is too big a price to pay for Vidal, and would suggest Arsene Wenger invest £25 million in Southampton defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin who we feel given the fact is three years younger than Vidal is not only a better buy, but would allow Wenger to use both him and Francis Coquelin as the club not only tries to win the Premiership, but also competes in cup competitions and the Champions League.
