Arsenal is seriously keeping an eye on Empoli defender Daniele Rugani after some impressive displays in Serie A this season despite already having signed Gabriel Paulista from Villarreal and Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw, as Arsene Wenger looks for more back-up in defence.
Real Madrid scouts have also been seen watching the young Italian, who is jointly owned by both Juventus and Empoli.
Rugani has moved up through the national team ranks representing Italy at all levels before finally being called up to the senior team by Antonio Conte last November.
