According to the Daily Star Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to make his third January signing today after the Gunners meet Valencia defender Jose Luis Gaya’s buyout clause of £13.5 million.
The 19-year-old has also been the interest of Real Madrid, but the Star claims Wenger wants to have a deal done before tonight 11 pm GMT deadline.
Gaya has made 19 appearances for Valencia this season and is a regular in the Spanish U-19 team, and despite having already signed Krystian Bielik and Gabriel Paulista Wenger is no stranger to last-minute deals that have in the past seen the Frenchman bring both Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck to the Emirates.
