Arsenal is poised to make their first signing of the summer and we can reveal it is not the World Class striker that Gunners fans have been waiting for but Mexican striker Carlos Vela who already has a disappointing spell with Arsenal.

Vela left Arsenal for Real Sociedad in 2012 after having failed to make an impact in north London, but now looks set to return to the Emirates for the relatively inexpensive fee of £3.2 million thanks to a buyback clause Arsenal had in his contract when they sold him to the Spanish club.

Last season the 25-year-old Vela produced some good numbers in La Liga scoring 16 goals with 12 assists something that did not go unnoticed by Wenger, and the reason they now want to bring him back.

Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay confirmed that a deal had been agreed saying:

“Arsenal have informed us that Vela would be with them next season.”

When Vela was asked how he felt about returning to Arsenal the Mexican said: “Arsenal gave me the opportunity to come to Europe when I was 17. I didn’t have as many opportunities as I expected and I had to try new options. If I have to return to London, I will try to make things in a different way so what happened in the past won’t be repeated again.”
