Arsenal to make Real Madrid Striker their MARQUEE summer signing

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has identified Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema as the man he wants to make the clubs marquee summer signing and feels that the 27-year-old Frenchman is just the type of player that Arsenal needs to take them to that next level, and win the English Premiership.

Real Madrid meanwhile has made no mention that they were even considering selling one of their top players, but with new manager Rafa Benitez expected to play Cristiano Ronaldo as an all-out striker to give Gareth Bale more room to roam as he did while at Tottenham, it would appear as if Benzema could be surplus to requirements.

Real Madrid has a habit of making one top-signing each summer while also letting a top star leave the club, just as they did with Angle Di Maria last summer an Mesut Ozil the previous year, which now has a host of teams thinking that Benzema will be available, including Arsenal who will pull out all the stops to bring Benzema to the Emirates.
