Arsenal to HIJACK Liverpool dream with £48m Bid

According to reports Arsenal is willing to pay £48 million for Liverpool target Marco Reus, with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger known to be a long-time fan of the Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder.

Liverpool has also expressed a desire to lure the 26-year-old to Anfield, but with German tabloid SportsBild claiming Arsenal is prepared to pay £48 the Merseysider’s may be hard pressed to compete with Arsenal and the bright lights of London.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has not closed the door on any new signings with the Frenchman still trying to convince Karim Benzema to leave Real Madrid, but he did also say that the clubs goals will come from all over the pitch and not just from a striker, leaving the door open for Reus.

The Gunners boss also stressed that any new signing would have to be an exceptional player, and the young German certainly fits into that category.
