Arsenal to GOES AFTER £42m Striker with United also interested

Arsenal has reportedly opened talks with Gonzalo Higuain in the hope of bringing the Napoli striker to the Emirates after the Serie A side lost their last game of the season to Lazio 2-4 at home a game in which they needed to win in order to qualify for the Champions League.

Higuain has never really settled in Italy since moving from Real Madrid for 40€ million in 2013 and was at the time also being linked with a move to Arsenal and while the Gunners have reportedly opened talks with the 27-year-old Argentinian, Manchester United is also thought to be considering making a bid in the hope that he can solve their striker problems at Old Trafford.

The on-going news regarding Higuain is being revealed by Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri who claims Napoli would be prepared to sell their star striker for around £42 million.
