Arsenal, Everton

While everyone was guessing as the whether or not Bacary Sagna would sign a new contract at the Emirates or not everyone was speculating who Arsene Wenger should try to sign if the unthinkable happened and Sagna decided to leave.

Well here we are now six-months later fresh with the news that the French international has joined Manchester City on a three-year-contract that will see him earn £150,000 per-week.

Just six days ago we reported here at Soccer Transfers that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was considering Southampton teenager Calum Chambers after he impressed the Gunners scouts with some fine performances for Southampton and the England U-19 team to take over at right-back.

Today however it looks as though the Gunners boss has turned his sights on Everton’s Seamus Coleman with Sky Bet lowing their odds to 5/2 for Arsenal to sign the Republic of Ireland right-back this summer.

Arsene Wenger is known to be an admirer of the 25-year-old’s skills and non-stop running, and at a price tag of around £10 million he would be able to tempt him with better wages than he earns at Everton and also Champions League football next season.
