Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp convinced Henrikh Mkhitaryan to join Dortmund to join Dortmund from Shakhtar few years ago and the Armenian international midfielder is beginning to show his quality with Dortmund having scored 20 goals and created 26 assists for his team mates in 44 games in all competition this season.

This wonderful performance has caught the attention of many clubs with Arsenal said to be the forerunner for his signature. However, according to the SUN newspaper, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is ready to beat Arsenal to the signing of the Armenian.

Reports claim the player has been house hunting in London having told his family he has made up his mind to sign for the Gunners. Signing Mkhitaryan will make a lot of sense for Arsenal. Imagine a team with Mkhitaryan, Ozil and Sanchez? Mkhitaryan has netted 101 goals in his club career as of the time of writing this article.

Whatever gives Jurgen Klopp the thought that he can beat Arsenal to the signing of the midfielder we will never know but I am certain Mkhitaryan won’t leave Dortmund where he is certain of playing Champions League football next season to join Liverpool where he is not certain of playing Champions League football in the next few years.
