Arsene Wenger is according to Sports Direct News sources putting together a bid for Schalke 04 attacker Julian Draxler.
Wenger who is yet to spend a penny in this summer’s transfer market is thought to be putting a deal together for the highly talented Draxler who many including German national team coach Joachim Löw who calls the teenager one of Germany’s brightest prospects.
The 19-year-old striker signed a new contract with Schalke at the end of last season, but admitted that he would not mind a move if it was sanctioned by the Bundesliga club.
Draxler has a buyout clause of £34 million but sources are saying that Wenger is trying to get Schalke to accept less for their young star player.
