Arsenal summer transfer target Fernando Llorente has apparently decided he would prefer to return to his native Spain rather than see how well he can compete in the English Premiership.

The Juventus striker was on a list of players Arsenal were considering signing this summer as manager Arsene Wenger looks to upgrade his striking options before the transfer window closes in two weeks’ time.

Italian publication Tuttosport say Llorente had looked as though he could be heading back to old club Athletic Bilbao, but that Sevilla have now won the race for the striker’s signature.

Llorente will move for a fee in the region of £8.6million.
