In recent days there has been talk of QPR striker Loic Remy joining Arsenal in the summer, and now the French international has said while speaking to France Football: “I’ll play for one of Europe’s big five, or a very big club at least.”
According to the Shields Gazette this now rules out any chance Newcastle United thought they might have had in making the 27-year-old a permanent fixture once his season long loan was up, and opens the door for Arsenal to snap up a player who could possibly be the bargain of the summer.
