Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has been ruled out of this weekend’s FA Cup final with Aston Villa and now England’s summer international’s with a knee injury.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that the 24-year-old has no chance of playing against Villa, and has also ruled him out of being available for England’s match against the Republic of Ireland on June 7th and also the game against Slovenia on June 14th.
Wenger said: “Danny Welbeck will not be fit, not for us, nor for England.
“We called them yesterday, the FA, to explain that his bone bruising of the knee has not healed.
“I don’t know what he will say, Roy (Hodgson), the England boss.”
