Despite putting in some wonderful performances for Costa Rica during last summer’s World Cup in Brazil; Arsenal striker Joel Campbell is frustrated with his lack of first team games for Arsenal.

Axed from the 18-man squad that faced Burnley and Anderlecht at the Emirates in favour of Yaya Sanogo, Campbell has let management and teammates know he is not happy with his current situation.

Add this to the fact he could have gone to Benfica in August before manager Arsene Wenger blocked the move to keep him at the Emirates where he has only played once against Southampton in the Capital One Cup while making three other appearances as a substitute.

French international Olivier Giroud will start training with the first team in the next week or two and could be ready to face Manchester United later in the month.

As things stand it looks as though Campbell will be leaving in January after either being sold or allowed once more to go on loan to a team that will provided him with first-team football like he had while at Greek side Olympiacos.
