According to reports coming out of Spain this morning carried by FICHAJES.NET, Arsenal have revived their interest in Real Madrid defensive midfielder Sami Khedira with an eye to signing the German international when the transfer window opens on January 1st.

Arsenal was close to signing the 27-year-old in the summer before talks with Real Madrid collapsed despite a having already having agreed to a fee.

The talk is Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is eager to get a deal done as soon as possible and has asked senior officials at the club to get a deal done and dusted so that Khedira can join the Gunners on the day the transfer window opens.

Khedira’s contract at Real Madrid expires at the end of the season with Arsenal believing the Spanish giants would like to get a deal done in January rather than see him leave for nothing in the summer.
