Arsenal Star RALLIES the troops ahead of do-or-die match with Greek Champions

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had wanted to be able to rest Gunners star Mesut Ozil for tomorrow night’s must win match against Greek champions Olympiacos at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens, but with Arsenal needing to win by two clear goals in order to move on to the knockout stage of the Champions League he needs every attack minded player available including the little German.

Wenger is well aware that the holiday fixture list is a crucial time for the club, and that he cannot afford any more injuries, yet is prepared to throw the kitchen sink at what he hopes will be a Greek tragedy for the home side.

Speaking ahead of the upcoming match Ozil said: “We have to be focused on the game; we have to give a really good performance.

“If we score an early goal, I’m confident that we can win this game and go through. I hope that I can help the team with a good performance on the night.

“We know that we have a lot of quality up front, but our goal is to go into half-time ahead and then we will know that everything is possible. We have to also be careful in defence that we don’t concede a goal.”
