Arsenal star pleads with Wenger to sign this top striker

Arsenal star forward Alexis Sanchez is apparently pleading with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to bring Juventus striker Alvaro Morata to the Emirates this summer.

According to the Daily Mail the 23-year-old former Real Madrid attacker is also a target of Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp, but Spanish weekly football magazine Don Balon claims that Chilean international Sanchez is doing all he can to pursued the 66-year-old Wenger to bring Morata to North London by saying he will extend his contract with Arsenal if the club signs Morata.

The Spain international has scored 25 goals in 87 appearances for Juventus and recently opened the door on a possible move to the Premier League.

“I am happy in Italy but Germany and England are both countries where my style of football could be better suited,” Morata said last month.

“I like the Premier League a lot because of the way football is played there.

“It’s more attractive for a striker because it is not as tactical as in Italy.”

While speaking about the deal the Italian giants made with Real Madrid when they brought Morata to Turin Managing director Beppe Marotta said: “The right to re-sign Morata which Real Madrid have is the sword of Damocles hanging over our heads.

“We’re suffering as a result, but that’s the way it is.

“First of all, there has to be an agreement between Real Madrid and Juventus.

“The only thing I will say is that we bought a promising young player who has turned into the real deal and we are very proud to have him here at our club.

“We will discuss Morata’s future with Madrid in the near future.

“If possible, we would like him to stay here with us.”

As things stand right now it would appear as though Real Madrid are likely to take up their option on resigning the Spanish ace, and will then sell him on to a top Premier League side while almost doubling their money.
