Arsenal full-back Mathieu Debuchy has told the club that he would like to leave the Emirates in January according to reports.

After having lost his place in the team to Spaniard Hector Bellerin and no sign that he is ever likely to get it back the 30-year-old former Lille player has told Gunners boss Wenger that he needs to leave in order to be considered for French national team manager Didier Deschamps Euro 2016 squad.

‘I’ll look at the offers to move,’ he told L’Equipe.

‘I love England and the football here, but why not return to France.

‘In the summer Wenger told me we’d talk if I was not happy with my situation in December.

‘It is now December. I’m waiting to talk to the boss.

‘Of course I would be disappointed not to make the Euros, it’s probably my last chance to play in such a situation.’
