Arsenal has been keeping a close eye on Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and midfielder Nabil Fekir ahead of a possible £55 million bid for the Lyon stars.

The Gunners appear closer to pulling the trigger after Arsene Wenger dispatched top scout Brian McDermott to watch them play against Bordeaux earlier in the week telling the former Reading manager he wanted an in depth report on the two players.

Meanwhile 23-year-old Alexandre Lacazette is the Ligue 1 top scorer with 27 goals to his credit this season, and while Frenchman Arsene Wenger sees him as competition for Olivier Giroud, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool all see him as being their go to striker for next season, meaning Arsenal may have to pay over the odds, which is why they will try and convince Lyon to sell by also signing 21-year-old Nabil Fekir.

Fekir has had a wonderful breakthrough season earning him a call up to the French national team, and due to the fact he is only 5ft 8in tall and favours his left-foot many watchers say he could become the French Messi.

Here at Soccer Transfers we like both these players and would not hesitate signing either of them, which has us believe it may cost Arsenal more than the £55 million they have set aside for the deal.
