Arsenal is reportedly ready to make a move for Barcelona defensive midfielder Sergi Samper, who Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sees as a long-term candidate to replace Mathieu Flamini.
The 20-year-old knows that he has limited possibilities in a star studded Barcelona team and could very well be up for the opportunity to join a big club like Arsenal, where he knows he will get the chance to play just like the other youngsters that have come up through the clubs ranks.
Samper has a 8.4€ million release clause with the Catalan Giants, and has Arsenal along with Portuguese side Porto, ready to trigger it.
Samper sound like a no brainer to us, so let’s wait and see if Wenger makes it happen.
