According to the Daily Mirror Arsenal has lost interest in trying to sign either Arturo Vidal or Morgan Schneiderlin, despite the fact manager Arsene Wenger has put a lot of time and effort into tracking the pair.

Wenger feels that Aaron Ramsey is too similar a player to Vidal, so has crossed the Chilean of his list, while with initially wanting to sign Schneiderlin, he has been put off by Southampton’s £25 million price tag, a sum that Manchester United will happily pay.

The current situation has Wenger wondering if he even needs to sign a midfielder when he has so much talent already available at the club.

On that matter all we can say Mr Wenger, is you might be sorry you did not sign Schneiderlin when Francis Coquelin’s hamstring plays up in October.
