Arsenal, Real Madrid, Casillas, Wenger,

After being left on the bench by Jose Mourinho last season, following the decision by the special one to play new signing Diego Lopez instead of him, Spain’s number one goalkeeper looks as though he is going to suffer the same fate under new boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The 32-year-old Casillas is eager for first team football with the World Cup coming up next summer in Brazil, and knows that not featuring at Madrid could jeopardize his starting place in the Spanish squad.

Real Madrid for their part are ready to offload any players they do not need in an effort to get back the money they have laid out for Gareth Bale.

Arsenal could use a keeper of Casillas’s quality yet Arsene Wenger seems more concerned with current keeper Wojciech Szczesny and is afraid that bringing in a keeper like Casillas could destroy the 23-year-olds confidence.

Casillas is out of contract next season so would be available cheaply should Wenger make the move, but as usual he will dither and the transfer window will close.

Have a look at the video below and let us know if you think Wenger should sign him.
