According to reports in Italian newspaper Tuttosport carried by METRO AC Milan have offered striker Mario Balotelli to the Gunners for just £7.9million, but they also want Costa Rican winger Joel Campbell as well.
The Serie A giants were already involved in talks with Arsenal over Joel Campbell when the idea of trying to include Balotelli came up as a surprise offer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recently said that he would not be signing a new striker this summer much to the dismay of many Arsenal fans who thought that a playing partner for Olivier Giroud would be a must.
It remains to be seen now if Wenger will change his mind and go for the Italian international at a cut price despite Campbell playing so well during the World Cup.
Our view at Soccer Transfers is that Wenger is still not fully convinced by Campbell, and would see it as no great loss should he move to Milan.
The million dollar question is does Wenger think he can get the best out of Balotelli and is he willing to take a chance knowing the Italians history despite the bargain basement price.
