Questions still remain over exactly what the clause in the Uruguayan’s contract with Liverpool means, and whether if meeting it allows the striker to leave Liverpool.

Arsenals manager is determined not to raise his bid on Suarez even if it means waiting up to the last minute.

The advisors for Suarez are telling him that the clause means he is free to leave Anfield, yet Liverpool are under the impression that it only allows the unsettled player to be approached by other clubs, and are adamant that Suarez will not be allowed to leave on the cheap quoting the £55 million PSG paid to Napoli for his Uruguayan teammate Edinson Cavani.

The 26-year-old has expressed his desire to be playing for a club that is in the Champions League, and while he would be happy to sign for Arsenal he is still hoping that Real Madrid show an interest in him.

As for Wenger he will sit it out and see how things develop already knowing what it is like trying to keep an unhappy player as he found out with Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie.

Unless Suarez kicks up and demands a transfer his chance of leaving Liverpool could come right down to the wire.
