According to Metro citing reports coming out of Italy, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has instructed a football agent to help him in his efforts to sign Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

According to Calciomercato Wenger has been tracking the 23-year-old the British press has dubbed the “Croatian Xavi” a name which in our opinion somewhat over estimates his ability, as he is yet to impose himself on a match in the way that the former Barcelona star was able to do.

Currently Brozovic is only on loan at Inter from Dinamo Zagreb, but the Italians have an option to buy, and are willing to let him leave in January if Arsenal meets their £18.4 million fee.

Here at Soccer Transfers we would be surprised to see this deal go through, and while Brozovic is good enough to get a place in Croatia’s star studded team we feel he may struggle in the Premiership.
