Arsenal must decide soon if they want to sign French centre-back Adil Rami from Valencia after reports in Italy suggest AC Milan is close to making his loan move from Valencia permanent according to talkSPORT.

The 28-year-old has performed flawlessly for the Italian giants since joining them on loan last October, with the Serie A club now keen to offer him a long-term contract to secure his services.

Arsene Wenger is known to be a big admirer of the French international as is Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini who will both be weighing up their options as to whether they should try and sign him this summer or not.

A stumbling block for Milan could be that Valencia is asking £6 million, and if the Italians balk it would open the door for the two English clubs to step in.
