Arsenal is ready to jump in at the last minute and hijack north London neighbours Tottenham’s moves for Austrian international Kevin Wimmer.
Wimmer who currently plays in the German Bundesliga for Cologne had all but agreed terms for a £5 million summer move to White Hart Lane last month, but now Arsenal is according to the Daily Star looking to jump in and steal the 22-year-old centre-back for themselves.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is looking to bolster his team’s defence over the summer and hopes the prospect on Champions League football will be enough to convince Wimmer to jump ship and join the Gunners.
