Everyone knows that given a choice of striker Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would go after Karim Benzema, but with the Frenchman yet for sale by Real Madrid, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has to do the best with what is available to him.

Another possibility is of course Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, but with a host of other clubs after him and his Ligue one club looking for top-dollar, Arsene Wenger is considering a move that makes a lot of sense for all the right reasons, and that is to go after Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko.

The Bosnian international already has the Premier League experience, and is a proven goal scorer as he has shown over the years for Manchester City.

City has already told the 29-year-old that he can leave this summer if they receive a decent bid for his services and with Arsenal needing another striker he may very well be just the man who fits the bill.

Italian side AS Roma also appear to be interested, but given the choice Dzeko would prefer to remain in England.
