If there is one area in which Arsenal needs to improve on, that area is the striking department. Ever since Robin Van Persie left, Arsenal have not had a striker that can deliver consistently 20 league goals per season. Last summer, Wenger reportedly tried to sign Karim Benzema as a way of sorting the striker problem.

In the end, the Gunners failed to sign the Frenchman but there are already reports that Wenger will try to solve the striker problem once and for all this summer and the Gunners have been linked to the signing of Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lukaku among others.

However, aside buying a striker for the first team, Wenger seem to be interested in getting the feeder team a striker as well with reports claiming one of Arsenal’s most senior scouts Giles Grimandi has been to Bulgaria recently to have a look at high rated Dinamo Zagreb wonderkid Josip Brekalo. According to mirror, Arsenal are advance in negotiation for the signature of the attacker.

Although the the high rated youngster plays on the wing, his registration with Dinamo reads ” CF” which means he is a centre forward but is been played mostly on the wing. Josip Brekalo has been on the best youngsters in the UEFA Youth League this season. He scored three goals and assisted one other goal for his team in five games in the Youth version of the UEFA champions.

Arsenal are said to be keen on signing the wonderkid and have been keeping close watch on his progress with Dinamo Zagreb. However, with other clubs such as Bayern Munich already interested in the player and Arsenal having the likes of Stephy Mavididi, Donyell Malen, Kaylen Hinds, Yassin Fortune among others at Arsenal, Arsenal may find it difficult to convince Brekalo to join them as they won’t be able to guarantee regular first team chances for the high rated attacker.
