According to this morning’s Times newspaper Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has a back-up plan should he miss out on signing Southampton defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
Currently it would appear as if the 25-year-old could be heading to Old Trafford as Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal shows no fear when it comes to splashing the cash around and will have no trouble meeting the Saints £25 million valuation they have placed on the French international.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on the other hand sees the south coast clubs valuation as being a little too steep and will go after Sevilla star DM Grzegorz Krychowiak.
The 25-year-old Polish international has a buyout clause of £21 million in his current Sevilla contract which is set to run until 2018 which means the Spaniards hold all the cards when it comes to price.
