Arsenal has been told by Lazio that they are free to sign 29-year-old defensive midfielder Lucas Biglia for £18 million according to reports in Italy.
The Argentinian international has scored the goals in 25 appearances for the Roman side this season, and with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger looking for an experienced man to place in front of the back-line he will not do much better than Biglia, but given his age the Gunners boss will not want to pay Lazio’s asking price which seems a bit steep especially when transfermarkt.com rates him at only 12€ million.
The Gunners boss is however keen to add to defensive midfield as both Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta are linked with moves away from the north London club.
