Cabaye, Newcastle, Arsenal, Wenger, PSG,

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal are now in pole position to land Newcastle United’s Yohan Cabaye after reports in French sports newspaper L’Equipe suggest that Paris Saint-Germain are no longer interested in the French international midfielder.

Arsenal have already had one bid rejected by the northeast side, but now with PSG out of the equation they find themselves in a much stronger position to negotiate with Newcastle who value Cabaye at £20 million.

Arsenals first bid was £10 million, so perhaps the two clubs can meet somewhere in the middle and get the deal done.

At the current time, Cabaye looks the most likely player to arrive at the Emirates.
