Arsenal fans are still hoping that manager Arsene Wenger will pull off a last minute deal and bring a top striker to the Emirates before the transfer window closes this afternoon at 6pm.
So far the Gunners boss has not been busy with the only summer signing Petr Cech from Chelsea for £10 million, while Lukas Podolski (£2m), Serge Gnabry (loan), Carl Jenkinson (loan), Wojciech Szczesny (loan), Yaya Sanogo (loan) all going in the opposite direction.
What could happen on deadline day? Arsene Wenger is still watching and waiting, but it would take a domino effect with players suddenly becoming available for Arsenal to do anything. A striker is still wanted but they’re not panicking, so our suspicion is that Wenger will not be doing any more business today unless a big gun such as Karin Benzema suddenly becomes available.
