Arsenal have been following the progress of Danish U-21 midfielder Patrick Olsen for some time now and could possibly make a move for the 20-year-old following his release by Inter Milan.

The Gunners would be able to sign the highly-rated central midfielder straight away given the fact he is now a free agent and not subject to normal transfer rules.

Inter released Olsen last week after failing to move him on during the January transfer window.

According to Tribal Football Dutch newspaper De Gelderlander says he is now to trying his luck on trial with Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, who are a feeding club for Chelsea.

In the meantime it is also suggested that Arsenal may offer him a contract at the Emirates in the next few weeks.
