Arsenal and Manchester City on Alert as Real Madrid prepare to offload unhappy Star

Arsenal and Manchester City have received a boost in their pursuit of Isco, according to Spanish publication El Confidencial, who claims that Real Madrid are ready to cash in on the 23-year-old attacking midfielder.

The former Malaga man has only played a bit part for the Spanish giants this season and has been told that his getting a starting place in the team is not guaranteed under new trainer Zinedine Zidane.

Arsenal have been mentioned as a possible destination, with manager Arsene Wenger saying at his press conference yesterday that the Gunners would be quiet for the remainder of the transfer window unless a special case became available.

“You will certainly over the next ten days have some work to do, not especially with Arsenal. We are always open to the exceptional cases. At the moment I expect our last ten days (of the transfer window) to be quiet.” Said Wenger.

Isco would certainly rank as a special case, and may even have Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini make a bid for his former player after having lost out the first time he tried to sign him for Manchester City to Real Madrid,

Isco is just one of a few Madrid stars that could be on the move with plenty of speculation also surrounding the future of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos.
